Bonjour tout le monde, ça va? by Maggie Bryant.

Hi, Maggie the “blogmistress” here.

I mostly stay in the background creating the slide shows, bookshelf, blog page backgrounds & blogger profiles but as August is the month when many people are away on vacation and therefore a quiet month, I decided to step out front and blog a little..
Not being an expert on Quimper faience, my blogging is somewhat different to others that have gone before. It’s more along the lines of a chatty email to a friend who is maybe a member of the QCI, or a lover of faience, or a bit of a Francophile, just like me. Those of you who follow my own personal blog www.normandylivingblogspot@blogspot.com will already know my style.
During this month I shall be writing a little about what I collect and our life here in France. As this year is the 10th Anniversary year for the Quimper Club I thought we could take a look back over the years at past meetings and take a peek into back issues of the Journal (a.k.a.the Newsletter and Le Petit Paysan) and see how things have moved on since 1999. I’ll also be taking a walk around the QCI website and describing some of the features that you may have overlooked or that have been added/changed since the last time you logged on.

I was recently asked by a member if it was o.k. for her to be leaving comments on the blog posts even though she was not a blogger herself. The answer was a resounding “Yes, please!” We love to receive comments on our blog. All that you need to leave a comment is a gmail account. If you do not have a gmail account, or have one but would prefer not to use it for commenting, we have created a gmail identity for you to use. Check out the QCI Web site “Members Only” section to learn how to access this information and read the brief & easy to follow tutorial.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
